Blaming One Another

When one is questioning “How Do I Save My Marriage”, they must find a way to work together to begin rebuilding the relationship, and not attempt to blame one another for whatever happens.

This is one of the biggest problems with some marriages, is that no one wishes to take responsibility for the mistakes.
Perhaps you are going through financial difficulty, you wish to point the finger that your partner spends too much.

If your children are being bad, it’s your partner’s fault for not disciplining them enough or the right way.

Are you regularly trying to place the blame for most things on your partner, if it’s something like the car breaking down (it’s his fault for not taking it to the mechanic for a check) or something like your shirt being dirty (it’s her fault for not pretreating it before washing it)?

You should realize that in order to have a happy marriage, you need to compromise.

If your husband or wife is too occupied to take the car in for an inspection, then offer to do so for them, and you prevent the car from breaking down in the first place.

Or, if you want your favorite shirt clean, offer to do the laundry for your partner.

Marriage isn’t about a schedule or rules that apply to everyone and everything.
It takes two to tango, and this is definitely a dance.

There are many, many marriages these days where both spouses have their own career.

By having the willingness to share the chores and compromising on the daily tasks, you alleviate stress, avoid potential fights, and can spend more time together, answering another question about “How do I save my marriage?”

You need to be sure that you are spending time together on a regular basis, doing things that you both like.
Remember in the start when you would just walk on the beach, and talk about your dreams to one another?

You can do this again, but it’s going to take the both of you committing to finding a way to make some extra time for one another.

It’s Easy to Give Up on Something

If something is quite important to you, you’ll fight for it, and your marriage should not be any different.
Letting go too early or easily should not be an option, as those who do will never find the happiness they’re after.

Realize that marriage does not equate to both parties being completely happy all the time.
You will have habits that irritate your partner and vice versa.
